Welcome to Catthults Hästverksamhet!
Catthults Hästverksamhet were started with the aim of helping more people to feel better and at peace with the animals and themselves.
For the most part, we are located in the beautiful Småland forests in Sonakull, Gnosjö Municipality.
We who run the business are Cathrine (Catte) and Anton Karlsson and here is a presentation of us.
Cathrine (Catte)
Throughout my life, I've had a great interest in both animals and people and have always had a dream of sharing the joy that animals bring me every day with others. Horses have always been a big part of me. Even as a child, I was a crazy horse girl who cycled around the country just to brush a horse. I bought my first horse when I was 18 and he still lives with me today.
When I turned 18, I also took my first contact person assignment through the social services and have been able to follow many wonderful people through it.
I quickly realised that the stable was an important place for many children and young people. That many conversations became easier in the presence of the horse.
In 2015 I started working as an outpatient counsellor in the social services but I always felt that I wanted to involve animals in my work. Therefore, I finally took the chance in 2022-23 to study at Wången in HUA, Horse Assisted Activities and finally my dream can come true.
I hope that I will be able to reach even more people through this activity and spread positive energy together with the horses.

Since childhood I've always had a great interest in animals and nature. I have never been able to decide whether I am a dog or a cat person as I would like to have both.
In the late summer of 2018 I met Catte and it is not by chance that my interest in horses started then too. From going to never having had anything to do with horses, I got a quick education straight into the horse world and then I was hooked. Over the years I have tried everything from driving to jumping. I quickly realised that there was a kind of calmness in the horses' presence that reflects on you.
As I was not allowed to say that Catte's previous horses are mine, I took the chance in 2022 and got my own horse and now I can also call myself a horse owner.
Together with Catte, I will be managing this business alongside my job as a salesperson.
I look forward to meeting great people along the way and sharing knowledge and experiences with you and the horses.
Sara
At your booked activity, there is a good chance that you will also meet our beloved Sara. She is there for you in all weathers and is an important part of Catthults family. She has a big heart for all kinds of animals and you can tell as soon as she sets foot in the stable.
After all the help she's given us over the years, we'll soon owe her a horse.
When Sara is present, she is either the leader of the ride or the last person in line to keep the line moving.
